My Forum Marquee plugin is being revisited with a major overhaul. As such, if you have any ideas / suggestions that you'd like to see added to this plugin, please post them here. Please note: You do NOT need to register on these forums to post your suggestions / ideas in this thread. On ProBoards Support, there was a request for being able to bold the text. This, along with the ability to add italics, is now in the selection list. Also, the marquee speed will now accept a number from 1 to 50. Anything lower than a 1 will default to a 1 and anything over 50 will default to 50. The Settings tab now looks like this: The Marquee tab now looks like this: For the Text Style, you can opt to select Bold and / or Italic. You need not select either if you don't want either of those applied. You may also select both if you want both styles applied. This is basically an optional field, so don't feel compelled to thinking you have to select one or the other. This styling applies only to the Text Line. I've also thought about adding a Link Color and a Link Hover Color so colors can be applied individually to each form's link (if added), but not sure if this would be a popular idea, so I've refrained for now. As is, all link colors and their hover colors are controlled by the CSS for the plugin. This is changeable, but changes would affect all links in the marquee. Also note that links (since I'm using autoforms now) are in the Marquee tab and there is no longer a necessity of having a separate tab for them. This will help to keep links with the Text Line you want it with - no more switching tabs. If I don't get any additional suggestions / ideas for this, I'll continue on with what I've got right now.

The Text Lines themselves will not be clickable links - as that's what the Links part is for. Text in the Link box will be clickable and direct the person clicking it to the URL you specify in the Link URL box. Text Line: plain text that is not a link and not clickable Text Style: allows the text to also have bold and / or italics applied (this only applies to Text Lines and NOT Links) Text Color: this is the color of the text in the Text Line Link: This is clickable text that is a link to any valid URL Link URL: this is the URL that the person clicking the link text will be sent to Keep in mind, oreoking, that if you have Version 1.1.0 or higher on your forum, you can already add clickable links - they are simply added on the Links tab. If you need help with that, please post on my ProBoards Support Thread or on my Codes and Designs Support Thread.

What you are most likely seeing is the border for it before the CSS changes it to your setting. Since it doesn't actually start scrolling until the page is loaded (at which time its CSS is applied), there's not much I can do. About the only thing I could do would be to change the JavaScript to have it start on $('document').ready instead of the window.load that it uses now. I'm not sure how glitchy the marquee would become at start though. The method I use now waits for all the ads to load on the page as well. The other method will try to get the marquee running before ads are on there (page not fully loaded until ALL aspects are loaded), which may cause some glitchy behavior. If you still want me to try it, though, just let me know.

Im just thinking if it makes other gliches with you changing it, would you be able to change it back as easy? or will it have to stay.

I'll see what I can do, but since I'm working on a revamp of the plugin itself, it'll come out when I've got 2.0.0 done - no sense in doing that minor fix when I may have to re-work it again in the upgrade. If you really want to fix it though, I'll let you have a copy of an editable version an tell you what lines to change.
Also, you can't use the Add Attachments as a Guest - you'd have to register to use that. You can, however, upload your screenshot to an image hosting service and use BBCode to display it.

Update on 2.0.0:
I've talked with someone who knows JS, so now I've got an idea of how to get this thing fixed (spacing) and "upgraded" to autoforms. This project, however, will result in a LOT of work on the JS - as problem areas were found in the current version. Therefore, it may take some time to complete, but I'll try to minimize the time where I can.
